Imagine a space where everyone in the neighborhood feels welcome. Where children feel safe and loved. Where senior citizens know they can call on for some extra assistance. Where overtired moms can stop by for a coffee and a friendly chat. Where working folks can drop in for a little spiritual inspiration. Where Jewish refugees fleeing war-torn Ukraine can rely upon for kinship and community.
Stop imagining. This space is here, at Chabad of the West Side.
Since opening the Jewish Discovery Center last year in Lakewood, the reach and impact of Chabad in Cleveland’s western suburbs has tripled in scope; by way of numbers of participants, but more importantly, in heart and soul. The Jewish Discovery Center and Camp Gan Israel - CLE West have become a lighthouse of the west side, bringing people together in commUNITY.
The current Jewish year of 5783 is Biblically knowns as a “Year of Hakhel”—a year of UNITY. It’s a perfect moment to step up and join in this amazing miracle of commUNITY happening every day here on the West Side.
